The club’s first pick in the 2025 Draft, Taylor is a medium defender capable of also playing on ball. Equipped with explosive speed and a penetrating left foot, Taylor is a strong one-on-one player with a defend-first mindset. The talented teenager joined the GIANTS after playing a key role in the Eastern Ranges’ 2025 Coates Talent League premiership-winning side, averaging 20.5 disposals and finishing runner-up in his side’s best and fairest. He also capped his breakout 2025 campaign with a strong finals showing, en route to his premiership win. A late call up to the National Draft Combine following a string of starring performances, Taylor’s elite athletic profile was on full display, clocking the fastest 20m sprint at the combine with a time of 2.82 seconds, while also ranking second on the agility test with a time of 7.84 seconds. Taylor will be pushing to make his AFL debut in 2026.
