The Tasmanian strained his quad in February and couldn’t make his VFL debut until the second Sydney Derby in July. But he quickly showed why the Giants spent a first-round pick on him, racking up consecutive disposal tallies of 23, 24, 25, 28, 35 and 28 as he played the last eight games. The medium defender/midfielder also averaged 6.0 tackles, 5.3 clearances and 4.0 inside-50s and will be pressing for an early AFL debut this year.
