Traded to the Lions during the 2023 Continental Trade Period, former Hawk, Brandon Ryan brings plenty of height and athleticism as a key forward. Beginning the 2023 with the Northern Bullants in the VFL, Ryan was selected with pick 12 in the AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft with Hawthorn. After four games with the Hawks VFL affiliate, Box Hill, Ryan was jettisoned into the AFL playing three games and booting three goals. Nicknamed ‘Sticks’, Ryan possesses impressive aerial strength and a strong forward craft and is exciting prospect ahead of the 2024 season.
