After managing just one match as a substitute in a 12-month period, mainly due to injury, and with midfield spots looking hard to come by, the veteran’s future was looking uncertain in 2024. But he returned to the line-up in the final two months and averaged 24 disposals (eight contested) and five clearances. He performed so consistently that there was even reported interest in him from rival clubs in the trade period. Enters the final year of his contract keen to continue that form.
