Jeremy McGovern

There was one thing missing from McGovern’s trophy cabinet but after winding back the clock in 2024 the star defender ensured his name would forever be etched on the West Coast Eagles Club Champion honour board. Coming off seasons marred by injury setbacks, the veteran travelled to Qatar during his off-season for specialised physiotherapy consultation and a revamped training program did the trick as he made 19 appearances. The defensive pillar was back to his intercept-marking best and marshalled the backline superbly to add a fifth All-Australian blazer to his John Worsfold Medal and 2018 premiership medallion. McGovern’s standing as one of the club’s all-time greats is assured and he has fierce determination to leave the team in a strong position whenever his career comes to a close.
