Matt Crouch (ret)

Matt Crouch dominated the TAC Cup in 2013 and represented Vic Country at the Under-18 National Championships. Despite being eligible for the 2012 mini-draft, Crouch opted for the traditional way into an AFL Club and was drafted with pick No.23 in 2013, making his debut in 2014. Crouch soon cemented his spot in the midfield and the left-footer broke records in 2017, averaging 33 disposals per game at a then-record 825 disposals for the season. That year, he won the Malcolm Blight Medal and was selected in the All Australian team. In 2019, Crouch brought up his 100-game milestone in the Round 13 win over Richmond. At the end of the 2023 season, Crouch signed a two-year contract extension, after producing an outstanding finish to the year led by his ball-winning ability, contest and clearance work. In 2024, Crouch played 15 AFL games and was ranked 'elite' in average disposals, amassing an average of 29.9 per match. Off-field, Matt announced his engagement to partner Ellie in September 2021, before welcoming heir first child, Ava, in January 2023. The couple then welcomed the birth of their second child, Charlie Jack, in March, 2024.
