Nick Murray

Murray joined the Crows list via the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period in 2021 and is now on the senior list. Hailing from New South Wales, Murray played eight games as a key defender in Greater Western Sydney’s reserves side in 2019. The defender previously captained the Murray Bushrangers and has impressed since joining the Crows for pre-season training in January, 2021. Murray played 13 AFL matches in his debut year, before lining up in 16 in 2022.and 19 in 2023, before rupturing his ACL. In 2023, Murray became Adelaide's number one key defender, playing on the competition's best forwards. He enjoyed a breakout campaign, which included averaging 7.3 spoils per game - an increase in a previous career average of 6.3. But his run of form in 2023 came to an unfortunate end, after rupturing his ACL in Round 19. He returned from the ACL injury in the Crows' clash with Sydney in Round 14, 2024, and went on to line up in nine games.
