Maric’s first full season in the west saw the versatile mid-sized Eagle deployed forward and on a wing, where he used his classy kicking skills to full effect across 19 appearances at AFL level. The Drouin product was snared by West Coast with pick no. 1 in the 2023 Mid-Season Rookie Draft and quickly proved himself at the elite level, debuting in the senior side just 10 days after being drafted, kicking a goal with his first touch in the AFL. Maric’s decision making and kicking strengths have transferred well from his time in the VFL, and at 193cm, he covers the ground nicely and can shift gears on the attack. He played 10 games in his first season in the blue and gold, managing nine goals.
