Zak Evans

Former Australian under-19 cricketer who played at first-class level with Victoria and the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash as a fast bowler. Spent much of 2024 winter playing cricket at Essex in England after losing his Victorian contract before joining the Suns in July. Hadn’t played football since 2018, when he finished at Xavier College in Melbourne, but at the time appealed as a half-back flanker. At the time he was rated ‘draftable in the 30-40 range’ before opting to play cricket. Signed until 2027.
